You could say 2011 got ‘owned’ by Ashique Subhan aka Subb-an. His discography reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of underground house and techno’s biggest labels, with releases on Crosstown Rebels, Culprit, Spectral, Hot Creations, Mothership, Leftroom, BPitch Control, 2020 Vision and Trapez already in the bag.

At just 23, Subb-an has already stood as resident alongside Adam Shelton at the midlands infamous Below party for 4 years and played some of the biggest festival and clubs all over the world, including institutions like Watergate (Berlin), The Warehouse project (Manchester), 2010’s Glastonbury Festival, The Electric Pickle (Miami), The Harry Klein (Munich), The Weekend Club (Berlin), Lo*Kee (London), Hot Natured at Sonar (Barcelona) and so on.

2011 was cemented as Subb-an’s year with prestigious awards from DJ Mag and Resident Advisor – solid confirmation that he has emerged as the new big thing in British dance music. And his prodigious work ethic and exceptional production talents, which far surpass his years, will ensure Subb-an is a name you will hear a lot more of in the future.
